GEORGE WASHINGTON PRINT
“I found this framed print at a tag sale. I was drawn to George’s expression and the colors in the print. I used a combination of cut images and torn pieces of paper to highlight aspects of the original and then covered the frame with torn papers to add to the piece’s whimsy.”

TORN PAPER BOWL
For this bowl I tore many pieces of colorful papers. To me, it feels like a quilt.

BLUE AND WHITE BOX BAG
“Another one of my Etsy 1960 box bag purchases. I love the lines of this bag and blue with white is one of my favorite color combinations. This bag is an ode to beautiful Delft tiles. I titled it “Take Me to Palm Beach” and it seems she truly belongs there strolling along Worth Avenue! Best of all, these bags really are wearable art!”

MIDCENTURY CHAIR
I loved the lines of this chair when I purchased it. Truth be told I am a chair fanatic! The seat has a great curve to it and you can comfortably sit it in it. It makes me happy to know that an object I love for its functionality and design can also be a whimsical piece of art! The images are photographs of flowers and plants a friend sent me. The chair has a mate so stay tuned for its transformation!
